Creating an account and browsing events is free, and many events are free to join. Paid events show their price upfront on the event tile, and you pay at checkout when you ask to join.

Every event is reviewed by the NEARBY team before it is published. Events that look like scams or fake listings never go live.

For a free event, you ask to join and the host approves or declines each request. You get an email as soon as they answer. For a paid event, you are in as soon as you pay - no waiting for the host. Once you are in, you can see who else is going and chat with the group.

Yes. Pick up to 10 tickets on the event page and add each friend's name. For a paid event you pay for everyone in one go; for a free event the host approves the whole group together. You get the emails and the group chat, and your friends are listed on your booking. Cancelling cancels (and refunds) the whole booking.

Only the host and people who have been approved for the event can see its participant list. Everyone else just sees how many spots are left.

You can leave a paid event and get a full refund, as long as it has not started. If the event fills up while you are paying, you are refunded automatically. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5-7 working days.

Only if you want events sorted by distance. Your browser asks first, and you can still search and filter by area or city without it.

Yes. Pick a category, set a time and meeting point, choose how many people can join, and make it free or set a ticket price. Once our team approves it, it goes live. For paid events you receive the ticket money after a small NEARBY service fee.

Yes. Every event has a private chat for the host and approved guests, so you can sort out the details before you meet. It stays open until the event ends.

NEARBY is for adults: you need to be 18 or older to create an account.
